Les Azuriales Bursaries

Les Azuriales has a number of bursaries available of up to £1000 to assist artists in a number of ways including:

  • covering the costs of travel to an audition
  • coaching sessions to prepare for a role
  • buy some essential equipment/music
 
The criteria for awarding these are as follows:
 
  • These are only available to alumni of the Les Azuriales Young Artists Programme.
  • They must be used for the purposes of advancing the singers career.
  • Bursaries are supported by individual donors and the artists must be prepared to meet the donors.
  • You must be willing to perform for Les Azuriales and our donors – at a mutually suitable time and place and for an appropriate fee.

Werther Wins Top Prize

Jung Soo Yun, the winner of the 2010 Ozone Les Azuriales Prize and who played the title role in Werther this year, has just won the very prestigious Montserrat Caballe Prize. He says of Azuriales Opera: “It was a joy to be with other singers in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Much of my success is thanks to Les Azuriales Opera, giving me connections and opportunities”. Jung Soo epitomizes want we want to achieve. We believe that he is a great singer and has the potential to have a stellar career.
